Working principle and purpose of the product:

American standard gate valve opening procedure:

1. Until it reaches the fully open position, the valve stem is lifted to the limit position, and the ball rotates to the fully open position.

2. In the closed position, the valve body is subjected to mechanical pressure from the valve stem, pressing tightly against the valve seat.

When the handwheel is turned counterclockwise, the valve stem moves in the opposite direction, and its bottom angular plane causes the ball to detach from the valve seat.

4. The valve stem continues to lift and interacts with the guide pin in the spiral groove of the valve stem, causing the ball to start rotating without friction.

American standard gate valve closing procedure:

1. During the last few turns of the handwheel rotation, the angular plane at the bottom of the valve stem mechanically wedges against the ball, pressing it tightly against the valve seat to achieve complete sealing.

2. When closing, rotate the handwheel clockwise to lower the valve stem and allow the ball to rotate away from the valve seat.

3. Continue to rotate the handwheel, and the valve stem is subjected to the action of a guide pin embedded in the spiral groove on it, causing both the valve stem and the gate to rotate 90 ° simultaneously.

When it was about to close, the gate body had already rotated 90 ° without contact with the valve seat.
